Stevenson University Announces 2014-2015 Baltimore Speaker Series Lineup

Award-winning actor Alan Alda (M*A*S*H, The Aviator) kicks off the 2014-2015 Baltimore Speaker Series on September 30.

Stevenson University has announced the lineup for the 9th Annual Baltimore Speaker Series, held at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.

The 2014-2015 series will commence Tuesday, September 30, with award-winning actor Alan Alda, followed by former Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, award-winning documentarian Ken Burns, former U.S. Senator Olympia Snowe, senior political analyst David Gergen, Pulitzer Prize-winning historian David McCullough, and legendary broadcast journalist Dan Rather.  For the complete schedule and annual subscription information visit the Baltimore Speaker Series’ website.

The series annually brings national and international opinion-leaders, journalists, writers, and political leaders to the greater Baltimore community.

Manning, Ph.D.,president of Stevenson University. “They will expand our horizons by giving our audiences insider views of current events and our nation's recent history while providing insights that both challenge us and broaden our own thinking.”

Stevenson University, known for its distinctive career focus, is the third-largest independent undergraduate university in Maryland with more than 4,400 students pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, and adult bachelor’s programs at locations in Stevenson and Owings Mills.
