The December 2015 graduating class—the largest winter commencement in school history—is comprised of 168 traditional undergraduate bachelor’s, 48 adult undergraduate bachelor’s, and 64 graduate master’s students.

The ceremony’s keynote speaker will be Heather E. Harris, Professor of Business Communication at Stevenson. Harris joined the University in 2003 as an Assistant Professor, serving as the first Director of Multicultural Affairs and as Special Assistant to the President. She developed Stevenson’s first Diversity Statement and worked to create a more diverse and inclusive organizational culture and climate. For her work, she was one of the first people to receive the University’s Building Community Award in 2009.

In addition to teaching, she has been a PASS (Partnerships and Student Success) Mentor since her arrival and has served as the faculty moderator or co-moderator for the LBGTQI club Allies. She is currently a co-moderator for Stevenson’s chapter of the Alpha Chi Honor Society. In May, she was honored with the Full-Time Rose Dawson Excellence in Teaching Award.
