Stevenson School of Graduate and Professional Studies to Offer 20 Percent Tuition Discount to Three Maryland Hospitals
Stevenson University has finalized partnerships with three Maryland hospitals — LifeBridge Health Systems, Carroll Hospital Center, and Frederick Memorial Hospital — and will offer all of their employees a 20 percent tuition discount for any and all courses offered by Stevenson’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies (GPS).
Additionally, Stevenson’s agreement with LifeBridge Health Systems covers employees at all of its health centers, which include Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Northwest Hospital, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, Courtland Gardens Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, and LifeBridge Health & Fitness.
Earlier this year, Stevenson confirmed a similar partnership with Baltimore’s MedStar Union Memorial Hospital.
“Stevenson University is happy to provide our partner hospitals with this tuition discount for their employees,” said Dr. Judith A. Feustle, Associate Dean of GPS Nursing at Stevenson. “With many changes occurring within the healthcare system right now, it is a good time to increase the education of the workforce and also decrease costs.”
Stevenson’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies offers eight adult undergraduate degrees: Business Administration, Business Communication, Business Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Criminal Justice, Interdisciplinary Studies, RN to BS Nursing, and Paralegal Studies. The programs are designed for working adults, and many can be completed within 18 to 24 months depending on the number of credits a student has acquired before entering the program. Most of the undergraduate degree programs can be completed by taking courses that are scheduled in a mixed eight-week hybrid or online format, or in a traditional 16-week format.
Master’s degree programs include Business and Technology Management (onsite and online), Cyber Forensics (online), Forensic Science (onsite and in part online), Forensic Studies (onsite and online with accounting, information technology, legal, investigation, interdisciplinary, and criminalistics tracks), Healthcare Management, Nursing (with a focus on either leadership/management or nursing education), and the only secondary Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program with a targeted Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) focus in the state of Maryland.
