Knowing of your 16 years of service that started with guiding the University through its name change from Villa Julie College to Stevenson University, to the creation of seven schools, coupled with increased enrollment, your dedication and commitment to Stevenson and its educational excellence is unparalleled. Your hard work has been greatly appreciated by all and has not gone unnoticed by many of us in government and in the education community.
On behalf of the residents of Baltimore County, I thank you for your outstanding accomplishments, and I congratulate you on your recent retirement.
Please accept my wishes for all the best in your retirement. Your time at Stevenson has been long, and your legacy will be nothing short of extraordinary.
Thank you, Dr. Manning, for all the contributions you made to Stevenson. It is a fantastic university, thanks to your leadership. I extend a special thank you for the kindness and care you showed the students. My daughter absolutely loves Stevenson.
Enjoy your retirement. You will be sorely missed.
I have been a fan of yours since the initial search committee, and my loyalty and trust in you have never waivered. Thank you for your vision and thank you for your hard work. Your drive to make us better and better has given me pride in a place I call my second home. I am thankful to have worked under you.
Thank you greatly for your contributions to the Stevenson community. You are leaving behind a legacy that will live on for decades. I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of such a fine institution.
I want to express my thanks. You have made a real difference in our community and we should all thank you. Best wishes.
Kudos for your transformative leadership at Stevenson and for the strong and innovative leadership model you established for a MICUA presidency. That model has resonated in the Baltimore region and in Annapolis. Personally, I thank you for your generous collegiality ever since my arrival at MICA.
Your vision, leadership and personal style, and your extraordinary team, have transformed the institution from a solid and respected small liberal arts college to a significant and growing player among American universities. Stevenson is now such a vital element of the greater Baltimore community. Congratulations on a job very, very well done, and best wishes for a wonderful retirement!
You and your team created a new and remarkable major educational and community presence, impacting the lives of so many people and their families. Your passionate commitment to Stevenson continues to be an inspiration to me and many others.
You will be missed as a visionary by all and as a role model of composure and professionalism by those who have the honor to know you as a friend. How many people get to complete their term in office with the knowledge that they vastly improved thousands of young lives? Dr. Manning, such a mission seemed like a matter of course for you... But to us, it was extraordinary, and every meeting with you made us ask ourselves how we could also transform young lives for the better.
Dr. Manning has taught all of us what the intersection of real vision, leadership and execution looks like.
Thank you for your myriad of contributions to the growth and importance of Stevenson University. Your extraordinary leadership has made the difference and as a result, you are a president’s president as articulated by your peers.
You had vision for Villa Julie’s future. You knew the strategies and human capital it would take to execute that vision, and, with your leadership, you made it happen. The college, region and state are better because of you.
